The mission at Ogun in Oshun Botanica is to provide honest and effective essential products that are holistic, ancestral, natural, safe, luxurious yet obtainable. Ogun in Oshun Botanica is an Afrakan spiritual boutique that provides holistic alternatives and ancestral remedies. Ogun in Oshun connects one with Earth through the active and metaphysical energies found in natures sacred resources. These hand-made concoctions hold medicinal & magical properties and are created with the intent to heal and balance one’s body, mind and soul. All blends are a physical manifestation of pure passion, raw love and holistic protection.
The intention behind our first product, Prosperity Paste, is to release the act of negative self-talk, fear, doubt and regret in place of talking to oneself with positive affirmations, respect, love and support. The goal is for the user to experience the everlasting powers of affirmations and self-love to create eternal harmony and prosperity in a holistic way.
The ingredients in Prosperity Paste are from Earth’s surface and crust, which gives them active properties that are medicinal, beneficial, magical and grounding. This Gempaste is packed with the necessary minerals and vitamins to keep the teeth strong, the tongue clean and the gums healthy. Also, attracts wealth, strengthens the gift of gab, stimulates self-sensual desires and builds one’s confidence.
The mouth is a portal of many possibilities and plays a major role in our overall health and wealth. From food to words, our mouths design our perceptions and realities. The words we speak into the universe hold frequency and intent as well as food and drinks. Simply thinking and speaking positivity into the universe attracts more positive thoughts, opportunities and people towards us. However, when we speak ill and negative things about ourselves and others we are more likely to encounter low vibrational and undesirable experiences.

When the Empress was born on a Tuesday in 1992, the planet Mars was in the constellation Taurus. NaNa (Abena) Briana Grayson is the Creative Educating Octopus (CEO) of Ogun in Oshun Botanica. NaNa is a multidimensional creative consultant, creator of many, educator of any and vibe artist. She also guides the hue-man community towards a prosperous and self-sufficient lifestyle through self-love and self-discovery. With the passion for helping others and being a lover of natural beauty, NaNa went back to school to earn license in cosmetology and was ultimately guided to start her own essential holistic boutique.
During her healing journey NaNa realized the energy being received from hair and body products didn’t hold genuine intentions. The products were filled with harmful synthetic ingredients that didn’t serve her ascension, melanin skin or curly coils. The more she healed the more her body rejected such products that had a history of hatred. A firm believer in ancient ancestral remedies plus "Cut The Middle Man Out Szn" equaled taking her beauty and health into her own hands as her ancestors once did. Through self-discovery and history NaNa Briana used her passions to find and live in her purpose.

"Ogun in Oshun" is inspired by the placement of Mars in Taurus, the essences of acting and moving with patience and preservation to reach ones’ goal. Ogun is an Afrakan Warrior, better known as Mars, the planet and energy of war, protection, action, aggression and drive. Oshun is an Afrakan Goddess, mainly known as Roman Goddess Venus. Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus and is the sign of possession, love, luxury, pleasures and comfort. The feminine energy of Oshun offers compassion, harmony and loyalty to the masculine warrior and madness of Ogun. The pure intentions and ingredients of the concoctions offer healing and beauty (Oshun) to impurities and imbalances (Ogun) in the mind, body, soul and spirit to create wholeness in one’s life.
Just like Mars in Taurus, natural products work in a progressive way. Because the beneficial and effective active compounds are as one in natural products rather than isolated, manufactured or synthesized, they don't have the same fast acting results as store bought commercial beauty products. Holistic alternatives are designed to heal the mind, body and soul as one, solving the overall problem so that the issue isn't reoccurring. As all parts of the body are connected (mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually) this process of healing takes more time, self-help and patience but is worth the work and wait.
The current state of today’s world, one can be at war with many things but ultimately the only war worth conquering is the war with oneself. Collectively it is a time to slow down, value and preserve our personal energy, time, resources and finances for what is best for our higher and future selves.
